Kelly’s vision for PEEL embodies her unwavering commitment to inspiring and empowering all, professionally and personally, irrespective of gender.

In 2023, Kelly launched a Video Podcast titled FROST Bites, Breaking the Ice with Kelly Frost. The podcast is your weekly destination for insightful and stimulating conversations with the movers and shakers of Pittsburgh and the Unsung Heros! The video podcast is dedicated to showcasing the incredible talents of entrepreneurs, small businesses, artists, creatives, and fascinating individuals making waves in and around the Pittsburgh area with a dynamic lineup of rotating co-hosts. They focus on building connections and fostering a sense of community, FROST BITES creates a platform for inspiration, learning, and empowerment.

Before 2020, Kelly channeled her insights into the launch of a women-centric magazine. Celebrating facets of business, lifestyle, health, travel, and more, it gained traction and was found Nationally at Barnes & Noble, Books a Million, online platforms, subscriptions, and the app.

Kelly’s fervor to align passion with purpose led her to pen ‘A TOAST TO MOTHERHOOD: The Good, The Bad, & The Hilarious’. Slated for release in 2024, this anthology encompasses heartfelt stories from Kelly and other women, laying bare their raw motherhood experiences.

In 2017, life posed a challenging curveball. Following a sudden loss of partial vision and hearing, Kelly was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Turning adversity on its head, she became an advocate for MS. Kelly’s dedication shone as she joined the National Multiple Sclerosis Committee and was asked to be the Keynote Speaker at the MS Society’s 2022 annual fundraiser at the Heinz History Center.

Beyond PEEL, she champions networking groups that resonate with her philosophy of giving back. Kelly firmly upholds the transformative power of collaboration and volunteering, viewing them as bridge-builders in society.

A Penn State alum with a degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Kelly wears her Pittsburgh heritage with pride, and as they say, she bleeds Black and Gold.

About Lynn Berry, Bridge Insurance Group

Lynn Berry, President of Bridge Insurance Group, Inc., started working in the insurance industry in 1985. Now, as president of her own company, Lynn exemplifies the qualities that led her to this position and seeks to instill those qualities in her staff. The staff, as a whole, take great pride in knowing that they can create a personalized experience for each client that walks through their doors. “My staff and I review all clients regularly, inform you of upcoming changes to your policy, become an advocate if a claim is necessary, and allow access outside of normal business hours.”

“We are relational, not transactional and desire to find solutions, not simply make a sale.”

Throughout her years in the insurance industry, Lynn has had many mentors and continues to thread their teachings through every transaction. “I once heard that relationships are like buttons on an elevator, some will take you up, and others will take you down.” But through her faith, dedication, and passion to never stop learning, Lynn knows that the scales will always balance in the end and the elevator will eventually head back up.

We are very engaged in our community, each staff member has participated in their own churches, contributed time and resources to Lemoyne Community Center, Washington City Mission, Outdoor Immersion, Face To Face Healing, Dress For Success, Watchful Shepherd, Food Banks, and Mentoring programs.”

“We want to be able to see you at the Grocery Store and feel good about the business we did together.”

After all, it is God, family, and community that really makes up the Bridge Insurance team.

About Sonja Garnett-Williams, Not Forgotten Home & Community Services

Sonja Garnett-Williams is a native Pennsylvanian, who fell in love with non-profits when she responded to an ad in the Employment Guide 30+ years ago. She quickly developed a deep passion for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Hence, becoming the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Not Forgotten Home and Community Service, a person-centered driven, non-profit organization dedicated to cultivating a conducive environment for the IDD and Autism population by campaigning for individuality with inclusion, growth with choices, and quality with equality to all served.

Sonja was raised in a household where education was very important and taught to be powerful; these teachings are now used to empower others. After graduating from high school, Sonja obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Carlow University and completed her Masters of Business Administration at Point Park University.

It was while working for a major non-profit that Sonja resolved to change the stigma and discrimination these individuals faced. Individuals with disabilities were viewed as liabilities to be managed rather than assets to be enjoyed. Sonja embraced the notion that personal autonomy is a basic right of every human being.

After years of contemplation and having the goal of launching a non-profit organization, benefiting the “forgotten” community, Not Forgotten Home and Community Service’s humble beginnings launched into existence in 2015. In January of 2016, the organization became a fully formed 501(C)(3) with great support from her staff and individuals.

    About Face 2 Face Healing:

Mission: Building support through a community of individuals dealing with cancer or conditions causing an altered self-image.   We aim to promote healing through outreach, advocacy, interaction, activity, resources, and education.

    Who We Are:
Face2Face Healing was created in response to the gap that often occurs when medicine has done all it can, but individuals are left emotionally and/or physically unable to adapt to the resulting effects of cancer or conditions causing an altered self-image.

Many individuals experience loneliness due to isolation and/or rejection. Regardless of the physical diagnosis, the pain and distress from cancer or an altered self-image can leave a person feeling alone, confused, and unable to resume a normal life.

While the healing process is slightly different for each person, the goal of Face2Face Healing remains constant; empower the individual to see their inner beauty and give them back their voice.

Face2Face Healing creates the support necessary to give individuals dealing with any type of cancer or conditions causing an altered self-image the opportunity to meet and share with others who know how they feel.  We create a caring, sharing, and supportive environment where individuals can connect and make an investment in each other’s lives.

    What We Do:

    • We provide emotional support to individuals and their caregivers with our in-person consultations or via our HIPAA compliant online counseling platform.
    • We feature survivor stories through our blog, Faces of Hope.
    • We reintroduce individuals back into the community after they have been isolated.
    • We educate individuals on programs available to assist in their recovery through our nurse coordination process.  This includes collaborating with their healthcare providers.
    • We prepare individualized care packages to make their hospital stays, treatment sessions or at home care, more comfortable.
    • We provide support groups which provide a safe place to express feelings among people who understand what each other is going through. Support groups can ease some of the feelings of isolation that can separate individuals from well-meaning, but anxious family members and friends.
