Melanie Bedner, Owner, Bedner’s Farm and Greenhouse

Melanie has been with the family business since 1999, gaining hands-on experience in nearly every aspect–from cashiering and greenhouse production to bookkeeping, perennial buying, marketing, and store management. Now serving as Finance and Marketing Director, she combines her expertise with a passion for growing the business. She and her husband, Russ, have loved seeing how plants, gardening, and beautiful landscapes bring joy to our community. In her free time, Melanie enjoys simple days at home with her family, reading, yoga, biking or walking on the trails, and, of course, gardening!

Maddison Perzel, Landscape Designer, Bedner’s Farm & Greenhouse

Maddison is passionate about growing gardeners, practicing sustainability, and sharing what she has learned.  After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Maddison completed a horticultural fellowship at Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens in Philadelphia, where she became the Head Horticulturist. Feeling a desire to return to her roots, she and her husband moved back to Pittsburgh, where she cultivated a team of gardeners and 20 acres of formal landscape at Elm Court.  Now as a Landscape Designer for Bedner’s Farm & Greenhouse, Maddison loves working with clients to help them grow the landscape they’ve always wanted!
